Udaipur Palace
A royal wedding experience inspired by the palaces and lakes of Udaipur.
The design
Udaipur Palace begins where the invitation used to end. It borrows its proportions from palace stationery — a deep margin, a centred plate, a single rule under the date — and then lets the lake in.
The palette comes from the interiors rather than the postcards: emerald lacquer, aged ivory paper, the specific green-blue of Pichola in the hour before the light goes. Ornament is held back to arched frames and hairline rules, so the photographs carry the ceremony.
Type is inscriptional rather than calligraphic. Names are set in Roman capitals with the letter-spacing of a carved lintel; everything practical — times, venues, dress codes — is set plainly, because a guest reading on a phone at midnight should not have to decode it.
