Jaipur Modern

Contemporary Rajasthani heritage — a wedding experience built on block-print geometry and modern Indian fashion.

The design

Jaipur Modern takes the city's grid seriously. The whole layout sits on a hard four-column measure with nothing centred, the way a contemporary lookbook is set — heritage handled by a studio that also does fashion.

Colour is lifted from block-printed cloth rather than from the buildings: dusty rose, terracotta, a muted red that stops short of the wedding cliché. It runs in full-width bands, so scrolling the page feels like turning over lengths of fabric.

A high-contrast didone carries the names in capitals; a geometric sans handles everything else. The two are far enough apart to argue, which is the point — this is the template for couples who did not want a traditional card.

Palette

  • Dusty rose
  • Terracotta
  • Warm ivory
  • Muted red
  • Antique champagne

Typography

Bodoni Moda & Jost

A didone at full contrast over a geometric sans — the pairing a fashion house would use, not a stationer.

Influences

  • Block-print repeats
  • Jaipur facades and jharokhas
  • Contemporary Indian fashion editorial
  • Screen-printed stationery
  • The city's grid plan
