Four days

Barefoot for three of them.

By the water court, early, before the heat arrives.

In the open pavilion. It will rain for twenty minutes and then stop.

On the ridge terrace at five, with the valley behind us.

Dinner under the trees, then the pool, inevitably.

Eleven hours in a departure lounge. By hour four we had swapped seats to sit together; by hour nine we had a shared spreadsheet of places to go.

Two years of doing this properly and one of doing it badly. We are better at time zones than most couples and worse at owning furniture.

We came here in 2026 to stop for a month and did not leave for five. The wedding is on the terrace we used as a desk.
